Why do experts need coaching?

Your book is written or you may not have a book. Perhaps you want to attract an audience, shake the world with your ideas or get paid speaking engagements. Whatever your endeavor, you are an expert on your topic, and the public wants your knowledge. You may have great contacts, money to spare and a publicist. Terrific! But, if you don’t entice an audience or a producer, media spots will be few and far between. Experts mistakenly think that books and ideas sell themselves, or worse, expect others to speak for them. Many experts lose thousands of dollars on expensive publicists and waste golden TV/Radio opportunities due to a lack of preparation. No one knows your book or subject material like you, so why risk time and money?

Let me - speaker, trainer and award-winning author Rebecca Shafir help make you sound like the entertaining, informative expert that you are!

I’ll help you…

· Refine your book proposal (the book's business plan)

· Speak like THE expert on your topic

· Create "voice appeal" to WOW listeners. Eliminate mumbling, nasal, flat voicing

· Expert-IZE your Radio/TV interviewing skills

· Provide a publicist with everything needed to interest the media

· Find a publicist that's right for you

· Provide resources for affordable marketing and publicity

How does coaching work?

There are 3 easy steps:

1. Call for a free interview (781-729 8814). We will determine the extent of services you need and want. Be prepared to describe your book, your idea and your vision for promotion. What do you see as your strengths and weaknesses in carrying out your plan? What kind of a promotion budget do you have?

2. We design an action plan. A general number of sessions are scheduled. Depending upon your needs, the usual number is four to eight 30-45 minute sessions per month. Most sessions are by phone. This is simply the most convenient coaching method for both parties. However, if presentation coaching is desired, face-to-face meetings are necessary. Fees include E-mail correspondence and materials. You are billed in advance for a month's worth of services at a time. I will need a working copy of your book if you have one, along with a tip sheet of similar books or references on the topic prior to our first scheduled session.

3. Here's the fun part…We get to work! After analyzing your materials and intent we'll identify key talking points from different market perspectives, bolster your media kit, refine and rehearse your 30 and 60 second commercial, enhance your vocal image, learn key interview and presentation skills, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, and much more! I'll provide you with affordable resources and contacts to help you further your dream!
